The lady knows her stuff!  I have just finished reading her book and my first thought was to commit to a fitness regimen right now! Rujuta’s book, ‘Don’t lose out, work out’, is something I would describe as the handbook of health. It packs in everything you would want to know about fitness, staying healthy and working out in easy to access and readable chapters (I would suggest it to people who aren’t into fitness as well – just so they can be enlightened about the way their body works). The language is not clinical but extremely approachable and gives you the feeling that Rujuta is sitting right there talking to you. So, let’s see what the author of ‘Don’t lose your mind, lose your weight’ and ‘Women and the weight loss tamasha’ has to say about exercise.

The optimum fluid intake during exercise depends on many factors, such as the intensity and duration of the exercise, the physiology of the person, the environmental conditions, to name a few. However, it is not necessary to consume fluids during exercise of less than 30 min duration.
