I call sciatic nerve pain “the believe in God pain”, because if you don’t believe in him, you will when you get sciatic nerve pain because you will be praying to him to make it stop. Sciatic nerve pain is invisible and can’t be seen, only felt. I had a neurologist say I had minor nerve damage, but the pain I experience says otherwise, so I see an orthopedic surgeon. I think there needs to be a new pain scale for sciatic nerve pain. It should go 1-15 instead of 1-10 because that scale comes woefully short of describing the nerve pain. I have a lot of other serious medical problems, but the one that shows it’s ugly head every day, is the sciatic nerve pain with associated back pain. It really sucks because people look at you and think you are fine, but if they had what I have, they would probably end it all. Not for me. I keep going and hope and pray that eventually I can be “fixed”. My Mom got sciatic nerve pain and is in misery. It rules her life like it rules mine. She said she didn’t know how I stood the pain and I said after a while, you get used to it, and she started to cry saying I shouldn’t have to live like this. Well I do and I hope that everyone gets relief from their chronic pain.
